Welcome to church party
No matter who you are, your first step is a “welcome to church party”. This party is the first part of the Gospel-Centred Life Course (see below).
Whether you are a first time visitor or you simply want to meet some new people, this a great place to start. You will have the opportunity to meet our leaders and others from The Exchange Church in a relaxed and casual environment. We will eat some food, enjoy some conversation and introduce you to what we're all about as The Exchange Church.
For more information on the time and location of our next welcome to church party follow us on social media or email us at email@example.com.
What should I expect?
It can be intimidating to walk into a new group of people.
We know that and do everything we can to make you feel welcomed. When you arrive you will be greeted by our friendly host team. They’ll help you know where to go and you can grab a coffee before the service too.
You can expect a casual atmosphere, good music, and engaging bible teaching. We are not here to tell you how to live a better life or to be a better person. We know that only the grace of Jesus transforms lives so we point to him in everything.
What about my kids?
We have spaces available for newborns all the way up through grade 5.
Our check in system and trained volunteers will give you peace of mind to enjoy the service while your kids have fun and learn with other kids their own age.
If you have any questions about our kids ministry please email us or feel free to come hang out in The Exchange Kids with us one morning!
We’re introducing a new rhythm of gathering, resting, and telling stories together as a church family
We believe that God has called us to create opportunities for people to Encounter Jesus on Sundays in our gatherings. We work hard to do this because we see the fruit that comes from gathering together to worship God, to see the body of Christ use their many gifts to point people to Jesus. Through the welcome at the front door, the environment we create, the music, the preaching, and the ministry to our kids we see our church glorifying Jesus beautifully every week and pointing people to Him. We want to continue this important work because it’s how Jesus equipped the local to church to use their gifts and serve Him together.
We also want to learn how to rest and tell stories together as a church.
God is doing so much, and there are so many stories to share. We want to create a sort of sabbath rhythm for our church to stop and reflect on all that God is doing. Every 7th Sunday we are going to slow down together for our Sunday gatherings. The work will stop, and we’ll just ‘be’ together. Kids will worship with their parents, no one needs to get up early to set up the gym, music and tech will sit with their families and friends. We will exhale as a church family, and we will focus on sharing and celebrating all that God is doing so that we are fuelled up to serve hard for another 6 Sundays.
What to expect on a Simple Sunday

What kind of church is The Exchange Church?
We are a church that is made up of all sorts of people. People who are new to church, coming back to church, and some who have been to church for a long time. What we all have in common is that we are all seeking to experience and know God.
Many of us have more questions than we do answers, but we seek to be a community where those questions are welcomed, and people can learn, and then apply what they have learned to their lives. Everyone is welcome in every age and stage of life.
Why do we Gather?
At The Exchange Church we believe that the Gathering of the church is very important! We come together every Sunday to celebrate what God has been doing in the life of our church all throughout the week. We keep it pretty simple. We like to say that it’s all about Jesus. Everything we do intentionally helps us focus on Him. Each week we gather around the teaching of the Bible, prayer, songs of worship, and communion.
